Lesson Plan for Pattern Making & Circuit Design with Conductive Playdough

I used project based learning to inspire high school students at the Urban Academy Maker Academy to pursue a passion in S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

For this project, I designed a lesson about pattern making and circuit design with conductive clay to teach them basic circuit logic. The students had to create their own circuit project with conductive and nonconductive play dough, using batteries and LEDs.

Faculty Feedback:

"Using conductive play dough to make circuits is an amazing idea and one that we could integrate into our Physical Computing classes this spring!”
